Free or Pro
When is the free code enough — and when is more worth it?
For a fixed link or your Wi-Fi the free generator is enough. If you print and want to stay flexible, use dynamic codes.

FAQ
Questions about the QR code generator
Is the QR code generator really free?
Yes. You don’t need an account and there are no hidden costs. You may use the codes privately and commercially — including for print products.
Do the QR codes ever expire?
No. The content is stored directly in the code (static QR code) — it works without our server, forever. In return it cannot be changed: for a new target you need a new code.
Do you store what I enter?
No. Your entries — including Wi-Fi passwords — are only processed to create the image and then discarded. We keep no copy and do not log the content.
What is the difference to dynamic QR codes?
A dynamic code contains a short link. You can change the destination at any time after printing, pause the code and see how often it was opened. That comes with the Pro plan — together with logo, frame, gradients and twelve code types.
How large does a printed QR code need to be?
Rule of thumb: at least 2 × 2 cm, on posters a tenth of the reading distance (1 m distance → 10 cm). For print shops download the SVG — it scales without loss. Always test the code with two phones before printing.
