Account first, then proof

First create your free account — with the address you want to keep using. Your university email is only needed right afterwards, for the proof; it does not have to be your login address. That is deliberate: after graduation your account stays, even when the university address is switched off.

Keeping it fair

The terms, without the small print

  • The offer applies to enrolled students. Proof is an email address from your institution that is on our list.
  • 6 months of Pro free, one NFC key fob per account, shipped once your proof is confirmed.
  • After that 70% off Pro when paying annually (29,70 € instead of 99,00 € per year), for as long as you are enrolled.
  • The proof is valid for twelve months and is renewed by email. In total the student plan is limited to 5 years per account.
  • Alumni and guest addresses do not count. A university address can only be linked to one account.
  • No costs arise and nothing renews automatically. Without a booking your account moves to the Free plan once the free time ends.

Frequently asked questions

Who gets the student plan?
Anyone enrolled at a higher education institution who has an email address from that institution — university, university of applied sciences, dual or private institution, in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and internationally. You provide the proof yourself, in two minutes.
What happens after the free months?
Nothing automatic. No subscription runs in the background and no payment details are stored. If you do nothing, your account moves to the free plan afterwards — your cards, contacts and statistics are kept. If you want to stay on Pro, you book the annual subscription at the student price.
My institution is not recognised — what now?
We maintain a list of more than 900 university domains, but it is never complete. Use the contact form to tell us which address you want to use — we will add your institution and get back to you.
Why do I have to repeat the proof every year?
Because a university address only shows that the mailbox is yours — not that you are still enrolled. Many institutions keep the address after graduation. The yearly confirmation is the simplest way to keep this fair: one click in an email, no paperwork.
What about the NFC key fob?
Once your proof is confirmed, one fob is unlocked for your account. You add it to the cart in your account, it costs you nothing and arrives by post. One per account.
Does the discount apply to monthly payment too?
No. The student discount applies to the annual Pro subscription. Monthly, you pay the regular price.
